Skyran necklet, 18ct yellow gold - bespoke

This small stone ( see picture), in the Orkney Museum, Kirkwall inspired Sheila to create the Skyran collection.  This necklet has a message written in Ogham, which is a pictish text.  The translation on the stone reads 'a blessing on the soul'.

Sheila Fleet specialise in enamelled jewellery, silver is the main medium as the colours show vividly on this back ground and it is also more affordable, but it is also possible to enamel on 18ct yellow gold and this changes dramatically the shading.

This magnificent necklet was commissioned by Celtic Crafts, the pendant is enamelled in dark blue on 18ct yellow gold, this gives a variety of hues ranging from blue to green. Our Skyran necklet is the largest enamelled 18ct piece that Sheila Fleet have done to date.

There are options on the snake chain, 16" plus 1" extender, 18" plus 1" extender. Also the wire could be in either 9ct yellow gold or 18ct yellow gold, the colours will still match, the clasp is a very strong lobster claw type.

Size:  5.25 mm diameter, 2mm depth and weighs around 40gm

As this is a bespoke piece of jewellery, it will take longer than usual. At certain times of the year it could take up to 3 months to make and deliver.
