Celtic Eagle Brooch

This is a solid silver Brooch from Russel, Mithril Jewellery.

In Celtic mythology, the eagle is traditionally seen as one of the oldest of all creatures, surpassed only by the salmon in wisdom and age. A lone eagle seen on a crag was seen as a warning of the arrival of an enemy, while a pair was a symbol of peace.
